Victoria and Deva

I was looking for images of saddles and found your
site, and treeless saddles. Have still got some PMU horses, most of them gone on
to new and loving homes, but do not want to part with two Percherons, one born
to her previously momma, who had been on the urine production lines, after she
came, and another a black Perch/QH, so a treeless saddle if the right one, might
be what I need to fit those three.
Was a massage therapist. Had Feldenkrais work, found first article in magazine
about Linda (T-touch), and put her in my horse coloring book, that has now been
out of print for 24 years, and I am going to republish it, try it on Ebay
first...
My old 32 year old quarterhorse mare, Mixer Tayna Bars, who was injured 8 years
ago, and hospitalized for three months, gets massage, joint supplements and
keeps on keepin on. She was used in my equine assisted psychotherapy program,
although not ridden, would sometimes put a 35 pound child on her back and lead
her around. She loves kids.
After I broke my back and had to stop working, through
spinal surgeries, Physical therapy, and then a horrible car accident.
Just two weeks ago, I got back on a horse, in my back brace. Have only my
saddling and riding tasks to finish Level 1 Parelli.
I took my 15 year old Arab/Mustang/Quarter cross to Colorado, to Pat's center,
after winning a week and paying for a week, the week my back was injured.
The ER docs said if I did not ride or lift anything, I could go. Friend would
have had to have husband leave their business for days, drive out with her, fly
back, then fly back two weeks later and drive home with her, so did not want to
cancel, for that and a lot of reasons.
The mare, Deva Donnalea, was born after meeting Pat Parelli in a clinic in Elko,
Nevada in 1989. I used Dr. Miller's imprinting when she was born, trained her
entirely with Pat's original videos and book, and am determined now to finally
finish Level 1.
It turned out the ER docs were wrong, vertebrae ruptured, surgeries followed,
and life is so strange, but the dream of helping children with horses is still
alive.
Your entire site is an inspiration to me. I have not explored everything yet,
but the horse stories are heartfelt, and you are a creative and powerful
catalyst for others to help their horses.
